The deliberate airstrikes on defenseless civilians in shelters are an escalation in the policy of genocide and ethnic cleansing practiced by that country’s extreme right-wing government, the organization denounced in a statement.
It criticized in harsh terms the recent bombings against tents for displaced people in the Jabalia refugee camp and the nearby city of Gaza.
The PNC noted that “The international community’s silence is no longer mere complicity, but rather an avowed association with the crimes of genocide and ethnic cleansing against our people.”
Given this situation, the Council warned of the implications of such escalating violence for international peace and security.
The document stated that we urge the world to comply with treaties and international humanitarian law, and called for “immediate and severe measures to stop this aggression.”
