Lavrov’s talks in Uzbekistan is expected to focus on energy, scientific, and humanitarian cooperation and particularly on labor migration, including its legal aspects and pre-migration training measures.
The two countries traditionally cooperate closely at the United Nations to discuss regional and global issues, especially the situation in Afghanistan.
Russia and Uzbekistan are united in their efforts to promote a solution in that country.
