The Sudanese military forces have taken action in the last few days towards Nyala, where the 16th infantry division of the army is acting against the paramilitary militias.
It reported that artillery bombardments continue on Al Fasher, in North Darfur, causing civilian casualties amid the siege of the so-called Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which are trying to take control of the city, the armed forces’ stronghold in that region.
This situation takes place in the middle of continuous United Nations calls to deliver humanitarian aid to the regional refugee camps, where more than 350 people have already been killed by RSF attacks.
Since mid-April 2023, Sudan has been embroiled in an internal war, following a power struggle between Army Chief, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and RSF leader, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo
