A release published on the Foreign Ministry’s official website this Thursday states that the visit aims to sign, among other agreements, one related to setting up an Italian-Egyptian Employment Center to join young people trained by Italian technical-vocational schools in that Arab nation.
Financed by the European Union (EU) program called Talent Partnership, the center is part of the initiatives of the Mattei Plan, mainly related to actions addressed to Africa, and responds “to pressing demands for qualified labor by Italian companies.”
It also plans to promote regular and orderly migratory flows to Italy, so discussions will address strengthening collaboration in this area, “a subject in which Egypt can act regarding the traffic passing through eastern Libya,” the document states.
Tajani will reiterate, in his meeting with Abdelatty, Italy’s support for the mediation role played by that country to end the Middle East conflict between Israel and Palestine, the Arab plan for reconstructing Gaza, and underscore the need to reach a new ceasefire in the Strip as soon as possible.
