“We express our most sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims,” said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through its account on the social network X.

The Foreign Ministry recommended the Mexican community to remain attentive to official information from the Vancouver Police Department and offered a contact number in case assistance is required.

The incident occurred on Saturday night, when a driver ran over a crowd during the Lapu Lapu festival, in that city in Western Canada.
