Cuban flags and posters allegorical to the proletarian celebration decorated the sites for mobilizing students, professionals, workers, families, and solidarity groups in Cuba.
The return of the traditional march at Havana’s Jose Marti Revolution Square, suspended during the Covid 19 pandemic, will spice up the national celebrations, due to the symbolism of the site, where exactly 25 years ago, on May 1, 2000, historic leader Fidel Castro described the concept of Revolution.
In the presence of the country’s top leaders, tens of thousands of Havana citizens and more than 1,000 foreign guests will reject the blockade imposed by the United States, which has affected the lives of millions of Cubans for more than six decades.
From that platform, the heroism of the people and the determination of the working class will become more evident as they continue the national effort for economic recovery, the efficient use of working days, and the increase in exports and food production.
Under the slogan, “For Cuba Together We Create”, promoted by the Cuban trade unionists, demonstrations were planned to support the revolutionary process which are expected to be massive throughout the country.
