A press release announced that the UN Library, located in the ECA’s Limpopo Building, will host an exhibition featuring photography, literature, cuisine, dance, and traditional attire from the embassies of Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Spain, Equatorial Guinea, Mexico, Nicaragua, Uruguay, and Venezuela in Ethiopia.
The event will include speeches and brief presentations by ECA and diplomatic representatives, along with short film screenings and poetry readings showcasing the richness, history, and global significance of Spanish—a language spoken by over 600 million people worldwide.
Spanish Language Day is traditionally observed on April 23, marking the anniversary of the death of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, the renowned author of *Don Quixote*. However, this year’s ECA celebration was postponed to May due to logistical reasons.
