The Addis Ababa International Convention Center (AICC) is hosting, until May 18, this international technology event organized by the Information Network Security Administration (INSA) and the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute (EAII), with the Cybersecurity Council as co-host.
INSA Director General Tigist Hamid said at a recent press briefing that the exhibition is unprecedented and unique in this organization, with diversity of participants and thematic scope, positioning it as the largest technology exhibition in East Africa.
Hamid stated that with an estimated participation of more than 10,000 stakeholders, Tech Expo 2025 will serve as a key platform to showcase the rapid local technological transformation, aligned with the nation’s Digital Ethiopia 2025 strategy.
She underscored that the latter, about to be finalized, prepared the African country to launch the Digital 2030 strategy. The international event supports the commitment to sustained progress and turning Addis Ababa into a digital hub.
EAII Director General Worku Gachena, in turn, stressed the strategic importance of the exhibition in promoting Ethiopia’s technological image and creating market linkages.
