The military institution announced on its official Telegram channel that 41 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were intercepted and shot down over the Bryansk region, 37 over Oryol, 31 over Kursk, six over the Moscow region, five over Vladimir, three in Ryazan, and one over Belgorod, Tula, Kaluga, and the Black Sea.
The Defense Ministry did not specify the targets of the attacks, which it described as terrorist, nor did it report any casualties or significant material damage.
The Russian air transport agency, Rosaviatsia, reported that temporary restrictions have been imposed at the airports of Yaroslavl and Kostroma for security reasons.
Rosaviatsia clarified that the airports of Yaroslavl’s Tunoshna and Kostroma’s Sokerkino temporarily do not accept or send flights, due to the threat of drone attacks.
The Russian provinces bordering Ukraine, such as Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh, and the Peninsula of Crimea, regularly report shelling, drone strikes, and other attacks from across the border, forcing the population to seek shelter elsewhere.
