With the theme “Harmony with Nature and Sustainable Development”, this year marks the date established by the United Nations to recall the signing of the Convention on Biological Diversity on May 22, 1992, a valuable instrument to protect, care for, and conserve the biological diversity of the entire planet.
This aims to show that the human species is capable of living in a much more sustainable world, with greater justice and equity, where the distribution of natural resources can reach a greater number of people, who unfortunately suffer from hunger, misery, and death due to a shortage of such items.
Experts stated that to achieve that all human beings live in a more sustainable world, it is necessary to implement drastic and urgent measures for the protection and preservation of all ecosystems, and the biological diversity that inhabits them.
Within the objectives of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, one of the great challenges facing modern man is to improve the well-being and living conditions of all human beings.
In this sense, biodiversity plays a vital role since the development of economic, social, and cultural activities that allow covering all basic subsistence needs depends on it.
