Of the more than 400 international observers expected to arrive in the Venezuela, Vice Foreign Minister for Latin America Rander Peña received the day before representatives of political parties from the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
Peña also held “important and fruitful meetings,” including with Wasna Papai Danfa, a member of the Political Bureau and Special Advisor to the President of the National People’s Assembly of the African Party for the Independence of Guinea and Cape Verde.
He also met with Konrad Sitarara, Director of the South West African People’s Organization in Namibia; Kevin Go, Secretary General of the Congolese Communist Party; and Scholastica Ephraim, President of the Saint Lucia Labor Party Organization.
Likewise, Peña spoke with Harun Armagan, Vice President for Foreign Affairs of the Justice and Development Party of Turkiye; and Rawashdeh Bassam Abdel Hamid Falah, a member of the Central Committee of the Jordanian People’s Democratic Party.
For Sunday’s elections, the National Electoral Council enabled more than 15,000 polling stations for the more than 21.4 million Venezuelans to cast their ballots to choose their representatives for the positions of governors (24), deputies to Parliament (285) — here called the National Assembly —, and the 260 representatives of the Legislative Councils.

Veedores internacionales siguen llegando a Venezuela para elecciones
Caracas, 23 may (Prensa Latina) Los veedores internacionales que supervisarán la transparencia de las elecciones del domingo en Venezuela continúan llegando hoy desde diferentes partes del mundo.
De los más de 400 observadores internacionales previstos arriben a la República Bolivariana, el vicecanciller para América Latina Rander Peña recibió la víspera a representantes de partidos políticos del Caribe, África, Asia y el Medio Oriente.
Peña, vicepresidente del Partido Socialista Unido de Venezuela (PSUV) para Asuntos Internacionales, dio la bienvenida a observadores internacionales que acompañarán al pueblo venezolano en las próximas elecciones del 25 de mayo”.
Sostuvo asimismo “importantes y fructíferas reuniones” como con el miembro del Buró Político y Asesor Especial del presidente de la Asamblea Nacional Popular del Partido Africano para la Independencia de Guinea y Cabo Verde, Wasna Papai Danfá.
También con el director de la Organización del Pueblo de África del Sudoeste de Namibia, Konrad Sitarara; el secretario general del Partido Comunista Congoleño, Kevin Go; y la presidenta de la Organización del Partido Laborista de Santa Lucía, Scholastica Ephraim.
Dialogó, además, con el vicepresidente de Asuntos Exteriores del Partido de la Justicia y el Desarrollo de Türkiye, Harun Armagan; y el miembro del Comité Central del Partido del Pueblo Democrático Jordano, Rawashdeh Bassam Abdel Hamid Falah.
Para los comicios del domingo, el Consejo Nacional Electoral habilitó más de 15 mil centros para que los más de 21,4 millones de venezolanos ejerzan su derecho al voto y sus representantes para los cargos de cargos, de gobernadores (24), diputados al parlamento – aquí llamado Asamblea Nacional (285) – y los 260 representantes de los Consejos Legislativos.
