The group disembarked at Pinto Martins International Airport, in Fortaleza, capital of the state of Ceará (northeast), where they were received by humanitarian care teams coordinated by the Federal Government.
The operation is part of an intensified effort since February, responding to the tightening of immigration rules imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump, which has led to a significant increase in the number of expulsions.
Of the new arrivals, three people had pending cases with the Brazilian justice system and were immediately detained by the Federal Police (PF).
The rest of those returned were transferred to their cities of origin, with institutional support. Between February and May, Brazil repatriated 783 citizens in vulnerable situations abroad, most of them from the United States.
According to the US Department of Homeland Security, more than 142 thousand illegal immigrants have been expelled since January, after Trump took over office.
