The decision, coordinated by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense, is due to the extremely serious situation experienced by the population in the Gaza Strip, a result of the disproportionate and indiscriminate aggression by the Israeli army, a statement said.
The statement, published on the Foreign Ministry’s website, also condemns Tel Aviv’s constant obstacles to allowing the entry of aid into the aforementioned Palestinian territory.
The Chilean government demands that Israel cease its military operations in the occupied Palestinian territory and respect international law and international humanitarian law, the messaage added.
Since the attacks on the Strip began in October 2023, more than 54,000 Palestinians have died, mostly women and children.
