According to the newspaper Haiti Libre, based on data from the General Directorate of Migration of the neighboring nation, in the first five months of this year, 58,641 nationals packed their bags and returned to the land where they were born.
The Haitian Embassy in the Dominican Republic also announced that the latest group of volunteers to leave for Haiti consisted of 600 people, including about 50 entire families.
These 600 are part of the fourth humanitarian caravan organized by the Haitian government.
