Lubetkin made the statement after talking with a delegation of seven parliamentarians from the EU Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET), which begins a visit to Argentina.
The legislators, coming from Germany, Estonia, Spain, Sweden, and Poland, concluded a visit in Montevideo with an agenda focused on the negotiations between the two blocs.
Lubetkin described the dialogue with the visitors as “frank,” noting diverse positions from different parties: the European People’s Party, Renew Europe, the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats, the European Conservatives and Reformists, and The Left.
The diplomat stated that the MERCOSUR is “ready” at the level of government and parliaments.
