Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian pointed out that these measures have no international legal basis and are not authorized by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
During a regular press briefing, Lin Jian underscored Beijing’s firm opposition to unilateral sanctions and the extraterritorial application of national laws, known as “sprawling jurisdiction.”
The spokesperson recalled that the trade between Russian and Chinese companies responds to market principles and is aligned with World Trade Organization (WTO) rules.
He said, “Normal trade relations between Russia and China are not directed against third countries and should not be hindered.”
Lin Jian further noted that at present, most countries in the world, including the United States and Europe, have trade exchanges with Moscow.
