Electric bus routes established to serve eastern Havana

Havana, Jun 13 (Prensa Latina) The Havana Transportation Company announced that as of Monday, June 16, two electric bus routes will operate in Alamar, a locality east of the capital.

The vehicles belong to MIPYME MECANIK11 and will always depart from Micro X: one will cover the route to the Naval Hospital and the other to the Virgen del Camino.

The buses start working from 6:00 local time until dusk and each one has its own QR code for online payments, according to the company.

The user only has to notify the driver’s number for payment verification and in the description put the word BUS. In addition, they must include the amount to be charged for their trip.

The Havana Transportation Company specifies that: on the Micro X – Naval Hospital route, local trips within Alamar cost 50 CUP, and thereafter, up to Villa Panamericana and the Naval Hospital, the cost is 150 CUP.

As for the Micro X route to Virgen del Camino, local trips within Alamar also cost 50 CUP, and up to the destination Virgen del Camino it costs 200 CUP.
