Commenting on Israel’s attacks on Iran’s nuclear, military, and civilian facilities, the senator stated that the past day was very difficult for the world, both literally and figuratively.
“The hope of avoiding a large-scale war, however difficult it may be, depends solely on the solid condemnation of this operation by the international community,” said Kosachev, who emphasized that there are no major doubts in the position of the global majority”.
“Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel had struck at the heart of Iran’s nuclear enrichment program. In reality, there are many more strikes. And the unfortunate thing is that this is not the end of the story. The Iranian response to Israel is inevitable; the vicious cycle of escalation is dramatically escalating,” Kosachev stressed.
Previously, Israeli authorities announced attacks against Iran, including nuclear facilities in various parts of the country. Netanyahu described the objective of the operation as dismantling Iran’s nuclear program and warned that the attacks would continue.
