According to a presidential statement, President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to deliver the keynote address at the commemoration.

The anniversary will be celebrated on Constitution Hill in Braamfontein, Johannesburg.

As recalled in the text, the milestone event reflects the fundamental role of the highest court in building constitutional democracy, protecting human rights and upholding the rule of law.

The celebration, which demonstrates the strength of the country’s constitutional democracy project, will be presided over by Justice Mandisa Maya, the first female Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
