The head of the Iraqi government wanted the ceasefire agreement reached between Israel and Iran to be strong and cohesive rather than fragile.
The executive authority held that Iraq was not and will not be in a position of weakness: “we have already faced terrorism and defeated it, and we have succeeded in eliminating dangers and saving our people from the tragedies of war”.
In this context, the leader of the cabinet in Baghdad expressed his rejection of any internal or external action that would undermine the security of the nation.
Al-Sudani highlighted all the positions of national political forces, institutions and constitutional presidencies that supported the government’s policies in the face of recent events in the region.
Regarding the attacks on Iraqi military bases, the prime minister ordered a technical and intelligence investigation to determine the dimensions of the drone action.
In turn, he stated that the government developed a comprehensive plan and there is a group of contracts and projects to complete the armament of the air defense system according to the latest sources and specifications.
