Arce stated, “The division, siblings, only favors the people’s enemies. The division only benefits those who want to see us on our knees, siblings, and we will not allow that. The peasant movement must remain united.”
Addressing the ceremony marking the 46th anniversary of the Union Confederation of Peasant Workers of Bolivia (CSUTCB), the president recalled the dangers facing the Plurinational State.
He warned, “We are not free from threats,” and mentioned external threats such as “imperialism,” oligarchy, and the racist and fascist right that continue to conspire to destabilize the process, and internal threats.
Regarding social organizations, he revealed that “internal threats are growing,” seeking to fragment them “from within, with petty interests, with leaders who have forgotten their grassroots, with actors who try to divide us and pit us against each other.”
During the ceremony, Arce presented the CSUTCB leadership with three projects for the construction of three memorial centers for the organization’s historical leaders.
