During a telephone conversation with Saudi Defense Minister Salman bin Abdulaziz, the top Iranian military commander condemned the recent aggression by Israel and the United States against the territory of the Islamic Republic.

Mousavi emphasized that the Zionist regime and the United States demonstrated their disregard for international norms, as witnessed by the world during the 12-day imposed war, Press TV reported.

According to the Chief of Staff, Iran did not initiate the conflict and remains fully prepared to give a “decisive response” to any new act of aggression. In the conversation, he emphasized: “We have serious doubts about the enemy’s commitment to the ceasefire obligations and are prepared to act forcefully if violations occur.”

The parties reviewed bilateral relations in the field of defense and discussed regional developments, as well as efforts to maintain security and stability, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
