The military institution announced on its official Telegram channel that 27 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were shot down over the Belgorod region, 22 over the Voronezh region, 10 over the Lipetsk region, eight over the Kursk region, and two over the Peninsula of Crimea.
Lipetsk Oblast Governor Igor Artamonov informed that a drone struck an apartment building’s section under construction in Yelets, and the blast wave damaged the glass of the inhabited part of the building.
Artamonov added that the building’s residents were evacuated, and emergency services are working at the scene.
According to preliminary data, no casualties were reported.
Meanwhile, the Russian Air Transport Agency, Rosaviatsia, announced temporary flight restrictions at Gagarin Airport in Saratov to ensure the safety of civilian aircraft. Since the beginning of the special military operation on February 24, 2022, drone attacks launched from Ukraine on military and civilian targets in the Russian rear have become routine.
