St. Petersburg welcomes schoolchildren from Venezuela and Cuba

Moscow, July 3 (Prensa Latina) St. Petersburg welcomed schoolchildren from Venezuela and Cuba as part of a visit to the city, which was supported by Governor Alexander Beglov, the SPDnevnik.ru website reported.

According to the publication, 210 students from various regions of Venezuela and 14 accompanying persons arrived in St. Petersburg, as well as 50 children and four accompanying persons from Cuba.

During their stay in the city, the delegation of Latin American students participated in a meeting with Beglov, which took place in “Russia – My Story” multimedia park.

One of the highlights of the trip was the delegation’s participation in the celebration of the Scarlet Sails graduates.

In addition, the schoolchildren participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at the monument to Simon Bolivar – Venezuela’s national hero-, while an excursion program was organized, including a boat ride on Neva river.

They also visited the Peter and Paul Fortress, the Peterhof Palace and Park Complex, and the Lenrezerv Memorial Complex.
