In a speech delivered on the closing day of the IV Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States and the EU, which has its seat in this city, the Deputy Commissioner revealed that Cuba appreciates the support of the nations of the Caribbean Community who maintain their solidarity with the island.
“We appreciate your strong call for our country to be excluded from the fraudulent and unilateral list of States sponsoring terrorism,” he added.
He also took the opportunity to express deep condolences and solidarity with the sister nations of the Caribbean, which like Cuba suffered from the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa.

Valdes noted that Cuba is attending the Meeting of Leaders of the Caribbean and the EU with the hope that this space will help to promote actions for the benefit of both parties, particularly the Caribbean nations.
