The event was attended by the head of department of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), Kim Jong Sun; the chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth Union, Mun Chol; as well as officials, journalists, editors, editorial staff, young people and school children.
The leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), Kim Il Sung, founded on November 9, 1945 the Pyongyang Children’s Culture Publishing House, predecessor of the present Kumsong Youth Publishing House, in charge of the publications of the Socialist Patriotic Youth Union, the WPK youth.
