The position was expressed in a statement issued after the Council meeting, held at the Presidential Complex in Ankara and chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

According to the statement, Turkiye reaffirmed its commitment to continue contributing to the security, stability, and well-being of the Syrian people, within the framework of its support for processes aimed at preserving the unity of the Arab country.

Regarding the situation in Gaza Strip, the Council emphasized that the Eurasian nation will continue its efforts to provide comprehensive humanitarian aid to the population of the Palestinian enclave, as a founding member of the international structures created to address this crisis.

Ankara also expressed its readiness to share responsibilities with its partners for the reconstruction of Gaza and the establishment of lasting peace in the region.

Regarding Somalia, the Council reaffirmed Turkiye’s support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia and reiterated its commitment to supporting the Somali people in their fight against terrorist organizations.
