Ahmed met with the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Felix Tshisekedi, to explore new areas of collaboration and leverage Addis Ababa’s existing aviation partnership.
He also spoke with Liberian President Joseph Boakai about technology, artificial intelligence, and local plans to establish a continental university of artificial intelligence.
The Ethiopian Prime Minister’s agenda for the day also included meetings with his Senegalese counterpart, Ousmane Sonko; the President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud; the President of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed Menfi; and the President of Botswana, Douma Gideon Boko.
With the latter he will focus on bilateral relations, regional issues, opportunities for greater economic cooperation, and exchanges on training the next generation of African leaders.
