Scheduled for March 2-5 under the theme “Forensic Medicine and the Phenomenon of Migrants,” the event brings together African and international experts, magistrates, health professionals, humanitarian law specialists, academics, and public policymakers.
Djiboutian Prime Minister Abdoulkader Kamil Mohamed praised the strength of the collective commitment of the participants who have come to exchange knowledge and compare experiences.
Mohamed underscored that the organization of the event here is not a coincidence, defining it as an example of a strategy to make the African country “a regional crossroads of scientific, academic, and medical excellence.”
Referring to this year’s theme, the minister said it comes in the context of sustained migration flows on the African continent and beyond.
