Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun again condemned the indiscriminate attacks on civilians and non-military targets.
The spokesperson underscored that attacking schools and harming children seriously violates international humanitarian law.
“We express our deepest condolences for the students who died at the Shajare Tayyeb School,” Guo affirmed.
According to press reports, the airstrike on the school left approximately 160 girls dead.
Guo confirmed that the Chinese Red Cross will channel funds to the Iranian Red Crescent Society to assist the victims’ families.
The aid will be specifically designated for condolences and compensation for the parents of the deceased students.
China expressed its willingness to continue providing necessary assistance to Iran in the spirit of humanitarianism.
