He Lifeng, who is a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), will head the official delegation.
The Commerce Ministry stated that the talks will be guided by the consensus reached by the presidents of both countries at the Busan meeting and in previous phone calls.
Both sides will address trade and economic issues of mutual interest during the working sessions.
This new round of dialogue is part of the efforts to stabilize the bilateral relationship between the world’s two largest economies and comes just few days before US President Donald Trump’s announced visit to China.
Tensions between the two nations persist, although Beijing has described relations as generally stable and emphasized the key role of head-of-state diplomacy in this regard.
