The NGO stated that it used population data from the United Nations (UN) and the percentage of school-age children (aged five to 17 years) for countries and areas affected by the conflict.
It detailed that of 770,000 forcibly displaced in Lebanon due to Israeli airstrikes, some 300,000 are children.
It underscored that nearly 900 public schools there have been converted into collective shelters, representing 73 percent of the total in that country.
Most schools in the West Bank have been closed since the start of the conflict on February 28, “due to security risks from falling debris and Israeli military checkpoints,” he pointed out.
Schools and universities in several Gulf states, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, and Bahrain, also switched in early March to distance learning due to security concerns, he added.
