Damage in Syria from drone strikes and intercepted missiles

Damascus, March 19 (Prensa Latina) The fall of drones and fragments of missiles intercepted by Israel continues to cause material damage in several areas of southern Syria, amid the regional escalation, local sources reported today.

A fire broke out in the free zone of the Nassib border crossing with Jordan, in the province of Daraa, after shrapnel from a missile intercepted by Israeli fighter jets fell.

According to the SANA news agency, several vehicles caught fire as a result of the impact, while civil defense teams are working to extinguish the flames and control the situation.

So far, no casualties have been reported, although authorities are assessing the material damage caused.

The Nassib crossing, located on the border with Jordan, is a strategic point for trade and transit in the south of the country.

Meanwhile, Syrian sources reported that three drones crashed in the province of Deraa, specifically in the Zammrin area in the northwest, and in rural areas near the city of Nawa, without causing casualties or significant damage.

Similar incidents have been reported in recent days in the governorates of Deraa and Quneitra, raising concerns among the civilian population about the increased risks associated with military operations in the airspace.

These events are occurring within the context of the conflict between Israel, the United States, and Iran, which has intensified the launching of missiles and drones in the region, with repercussions in several countries.
