The state-run Press TV channel, a high-ranking political and security source, revealed that Iran’s conditions include a cessation of attacks and assassinations, guarantees that hostilities will not resume, the payment of reparations, recognition of Iran’s sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz, and an end to attacks on groups allied with Tehran that are participating in the fighting.
The text added that the United States requested negotiations and presented proposals, but these were rejected by Iran as “exaggerated.”
It also underscored that the Islamic Republic will continue “defending itself” until its conditions are fulfilled, and affirmed that the end of the conflict will depend on Tehran’s decision.
It reported, in that context, that a 15-point plan to halt strikes on Iran was transmitted to Tehran via Pakistan, accompanied by reports of Washington’s intention to declare a temporary one-month ceasefire to facilitate negotiations.
Reports stated that the plan includes measures such as dismantling Iran’s nuclear capabilities, a commitment not to develop nuclear weapons, and the deactivation of facilities in Isfahan, Natanz, and Fordow.
Israel and the United States have been conducting, since February 28, military operations against Iran, resulting in hundreds of casualties, including high-ranking officials.
