According to the agency, based on data from the European analytical center Bruegel, total Russian gas supplies to the EU from January to March amounted to approximately 11.5 billion cubic meters.
This amount is less than that of Norway (25.2 billion cubic meters) and the United States (22.7 billion), but more than that of Algeria (9.7 billion).
Overall, during that period, EU countries imported 81.1 billion cubic meters of gas, representing an 8.3 percent increase compared to the same period last year, according to the center’s data.
Previously, TASS calculations based on data from the European Network of Gas Transportation System Operators showed that in the first quarter of this year, Russia increased gas exports to Europe via the TurkStream pipeline by 10 percent, reaching a total of 4.96 billion cubic meters.
This pipeline remains the only active route for Russian gas supplies to Europe following the disruption of transit through Ukraine.
The remaining deliveries are in the form of liquefied natural gas (LNG), which amounted to approximately 6.8 billion cubic meters during the January-March period.
