The report by SEG Ingenieria expresses that wind power stood out as the largest contributor to the energy mix at 39.7 percent.

Biomass was the third largest source of electricity production at 18.1 percent.
And although solar energy contributed only four percent, at 10.5 percent, it reached its highest level in three years in March.
Last Tuesday, Uruguay exported electricity to Argentina as “emergency support” in response to an unexpected spike in consumption in the neighboring country.
