Pakistan and China strengthen cooperation during presidential visit

Beijing, April 27 (Prensa Latina) China announced the agenda of Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, who is on an official visit to the country from April 25 to May 1, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian noted that the Pakistani president will visit Hunan and Hainan provinces during his stay.

Lin underscored that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two nations.

The spokesman affirmed that bilateral relations maintain a high level of development and a positive trend.

He also emphasized that China is willing to work with Pakistan to strengthen exchanges and cooperation at various levels and in different regions.

The spokesman pointed out that both sides seek to deepen the building of a closer community with a shared future.

China and Pakistan maintain a comprehensive strategic partnership, with cooperation in infrastructure, energy, and trade, within the framework of initiatives such as the Belt and Road Initiative.

Reports from Islamabad pointed out that the Pakistani president will remain in Changsha, Hunan province, until today, and will then travel to Sanya, Hainan province.

The head of state will meet with the leaders of these provinces to discuss bilateral relations, with a particular focus on economic and trade cooperation and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
