Chapo arrived in this capital on April 27 as part of ongoing efforts to deepen cooperation across several sectors and was received by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed at Bole International Airport.
Ahmed wrote at the time on his X profile that, as a land of origins, Ethiopia is a place of limitless opportunities, opening its arms to the world and inviting its partners to rediscover their shared roots and grow through cooperation.
The prime minister underscored, “Through our genuine partnership, we affirm that Ethiopia is much more than a destination; it is a second home for all those seeking visionary growth and transformation based on mutual respect.”
The head of government expressed hope that Chapo’s official visit would yield productive results, paving the way for shared success and lasting friendship.
Both sides held official talks, described as fruitful by Ahmed, and marked the beginning of a lasting and tangible partnership.
Before concluding his official visit on April 29, Chapo toured the facilities of the Ethiopian Institute of Artificial Intelligence, describing it as a source of hope for Africa’s digital future.
