The performance, which is as a prelude to the extensive cultural program that will run until May 8, allowed the artist to take a journey through his discography with emblematic songs such as “Voy a subir La Loma”, “Dos con vida” , and “Pasa el sombrero”.
The show featured special appearances by singers Yamilka Garcell and Nelson Valdes, who added their compositions to the program, reinforcing the spirit of collaboration and artistic innovation that characterizes the event.
Considered one of the most established singer-songwriters in Holguin, Leyva—whose work has been recognized with several Cubadisco award nominations—will continue his participation in the festival.
According to the organizing committee, the musician will give a concert at Mercado 2 Plaza de la Marqueta.
The Romerias de Mayo, known as the World Festival of Artistic Youth, transforms Holguin into the epicenter of young art in Cuba each year, fusing regional cultural traditions with the most contemporary creative trends.
