Earlier, the governor of the Moscow region, Andriy Vorobyov, reported one death caused by falling debris from an intercepted drone in a village in the Volokolamsk municipality, northwest of the Russian capital.
His counterpart in the Leningrad region, Alexander Drozdenko, said that the main target of the attack in this northwestern Russian territory, where more than 60 drones were shot down, was the port of Primorsk.
During the interception of the unmanned aerial vehicles in Primorsk, according to the governor, a fire broke out, the effects of which have already been contained. No fuel spill was reported.
In the Smolensk region, three people were injured when fragments of a drone fell on an apartment building, Governor Vasily Anokhin posted on the Telegram social network.
For its part, the national air transport agency, Rosaviatsia, reported temporary flight restrictions at the airports of Kostroma, Pskov, and St. Petersburg, as well as Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo airports in Moscow on Sunday, for security reasons.
