Indian and Venezuelan authorities discuss bilateral ties

New Delhi, Jun 4 (Prensa Latina) Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and acting Venezuelan President Delcy Rodriguez held extensive talks on the full spectrum of bilateral relations.

Indian External Ministry Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal affirmed that Modi and Rodriguez addressed new ways of cooperation in energy, trade, investment, health, and automotive, among other sectors.

Jaiswal noted that they exchanged views on global and regional issues of mutual interest and reaffirmed their commitment to deepening the bilateral partnership and boosting the interests of the Global South.

The acting Venezuelan president earlier paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat in this capital.

The head of State also met, at the beginning of her first day of work in India, with External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, who highlighted the existing potentialities for strengthening ties with Venezuela.

Rodriguez affirmed that her agenda includes areas that will benefit the leading needs of the Venezuelan people.
