In a statement, the political organization noted that, as in previous days, the United States produced a series of lies and slander against the leader of the Revolution on the island, Raul Castro, and now the harassment is directed at leaders like Diaz-Canel.
“We want to tell you that these slanders offend not only the Cuban people, but also the friends of Cuba,” the statement read.
It expressed its solidarity with organizations such as the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution and the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, which, along with the president and other individuals and entities, were included on a unilateral sanctions list.
“We want to tell the US imperialists and the Miami mafia that Cuba and its Revolution are not alone, that it has friends in Mexico, and that we will denounce at all times, in every space, and in every forum the terrible blockade and the media, political, and economic harassment against the island,” it emphasized.
It demanded an end to the blockade that for more than six decades has attempted to suffocate the Cuban people and that in recent months has been intensified with an energy embargo.
“This silent genocide must stop, as must the slander against the historical and current leaders of the Cuban Revolution. We denounce any attempt at military aggression against Cuba by the imperialists,” it added.
