Under the theme “Transforming Africa: Empowering Women in Leadership for Peace and Inclusive Development on the Continent,” the event is expected to bring together some 350 delegates to address the challenges hindering women’s full integration into development.
The event, part of the Luanda Biennial program, will discuss issues such as women’s participation in political, economic, and social decision-making, and will seek to strengthen the network of cooperation among governments, international organizations, and civil society to address these issues.
The organizers specified that the two-day forum will include panels, conferences, high-level sessions, and exchange opportunities. The program also includes planned interventions by the Ministry of Social Action, Family and Women’s Promotion in Angola and the African Union.
