For its part, the Cuban Foreign Ministry echoed the congratulations. “We reaffirm our commitment to continue strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation between our countries,” it stated on the social media platform X.
Independence Day marks the anniversary of Venezuela’s Declaration of Independence in 1811, making the country the first Spanish colony in South America to declare independence.
It is also observed as National Armed Forces Day to honor the faithful service of all active-duty personnel and veterans of Venezuela’s Bolivarian National Armed Forces.
