Representatives from Iraq, Oman, Qatar, Lebanon, Yemen, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and other Arab delegations attended the official farewell events, which are part of a week of mourning and funeral processions in Iran.
The Iraqi News Agency reported that Parliament Speaker Haibat Al-Halbousi participated in the ceremonies, while Iranian media noted the presence of a high-level Iraqi delegation comprising political, religious, and tribal officials.
Representatives from Yemen, Lebanon, Egypt, and Palestine also attended, including delegations from political movements and factions, according to Arab and Iranian media reports.
The Lebanese Ministry of Defense announced that Defense Minister Michel Mansour attended the funeral as a representative of the Lebanese Republic and conveyed condolences to Iranian authorities.
Iranian media also noted the presence of official delegations from Persian Gulf Arab countries—including Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia—as well as Arab ambassadors accredited in Tehran.
Iran began the official farewell ceremonies for Khamenei yesterday, marking the start of a week of mourning that will include events in Iranian and Iraqi cities prior to his burial.
