The Interior Ministry reported that the operations were coordinated by the Anti-Terrorism Department of the General Command of the Gendarmerie and the relevant prosecutor’s offices.

According to the ministry, some of the suspects disseminated the organization’s propaganda through social media, while others financed its activities through individuals linked to the group or entities operating under the guise of humanitarian aid organizations.

The prosecutor’s offices have opened investigations against those arrested, the statement reads.

The Interior Ministry affirmed that security forces are continuing their operations against ISIS activities and the networks used to finance the organization.
