The Indian foreign minister underscored that peace on the border remains a fundamental requirement for deeper bilateral cooperation, Newsonair reported.
The diplomat affirmed that both nations considered that a stable and cooperative relationship is best developed based on mutual respect and interest, and such a relationship can make a valuable contribution to a multipolar Asia and world.
Jaishankar appreciated several recent confidence-building measures, such as the resumption of direct flights, the updating of the visa regime, the restart of the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra pilgrimage, and the revival of border trade.
