On the 73rd anniversary of the victory in that pivotal event in the country’s history, Kim, who is also the President of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, emphasized on the significance of commemorating Victory Day every year as a way to transmit to new generations the spirit of sacrifice and self-respect of the 1950s.
The North Korean leader stated that the presence of the veterans serves as an inspiration to the Party and the people, as they witnessed the “miraculous victory” that solidified the country’s prestige.
The KCNA news agency informed that the attendees expressed emotions at participating in the official celebrations.
