In the new era, as Vietnam defines its aspiration to become a high-income developed country by 2045, the ambassadors and their representatives attended 20 working sessions during the 33rd Diplomatic Conference, held at the National Conference Center from August 1 to 7.
Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung called for an understanding of the foreign policy line established by the Communist Party following its 14th Congress, held in January.
The meeting’s resolution, adopted by consensus, determined that in a world marked by rapid changes, diplomacy is no longer solely about maintaining good international relations.
“Its true value lies in transforming each foreign relationship into concrete markets, investments, technology, knowledge, and opportunities that drive the country’s development.”
The Nhan Dan (People’s Daily) newspaper commented that Vietnamese diplomacy is evolving toward increasingly practical action, the results of which are measured by its capacity to generate tangible benefits for national development.
