The Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration noted that the country generated more than 11.2 billion dollars in export revenue during the previous fiscal year, laying a solid foundation for achieving the new goal.
The Minister of Trade and Regional Integration Kassahun Gofe stated that the export sector gained significant momentum over the last year and played a key role in supporting macroeconomic stability and generating foreign exchange.
The minister said, “Our exporters played a crucial role in achieving this encouraging result, and we have reached a consensus to focus heavily on promoting Ethiopian products more deeply in the global market moving forward.”
Gofe affirmed that the government and exporters agreed to work together to eliminate operational bottlenecks and improve export performance.
